TCSIG, the Tri-County Schools Insurance Group Joint Powers Authority (JPA), held its annual Board of Directors meeting in Yuba City, California, on March 16, 2018. During the meeting, the TCSIG Executive Board delivered some excellent news to its members. They recommended a 0% rate increase for all PPO plans, a remarkable achievement in the realm of health insurance. Furthermore, the Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) was enriched, elevating it from a Bronze to Silver plan. This accomplishment was celebrated as a testament to the collective efforts of all associated with TCSIG, and the organization's commitment to providing affordable, high-quality health benefits and liability coverage to its members. The meeting also emphasized the importance of TCSIG's founding principles, emphasizing the significance of "Together we Succeed" and the need to protect the organization's core members while fostering growth from within existing groups for the benefit of future generations.

The TCSIG newsletter also addressed the vital topic of keeping school-aged children engaged and supervised during the summer break. With the extended free time that summer brings, unsupervised children are at risk of engaging in petty crimes, theft, and vandalism. To mitigate these issues, parents were encouraged to enroll their children in organized activities, summer camps, or summer employment. Additionally, promoting summer learning through reading and online courses was highlighted as a way to combat "Summer Learning Loss" and keep children engaged in constructive activities. The newsletter emphasized that boredom can lead to problems, and proactive measures should be taken to ensure that children spend their summer break in productive and supervised environments.
